Hearings fixed for July 29

The court will hear a petition concerning the PTI founder’s “Release Force” on July 29.

On the same day, it will also take up an appeal challenging the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s decision to withdraw cases linked to the May 9 incidents.

Three-member bench to hear petitions

A three-member bench, headed by Federal Constitutional Court Chief Justice Aminuddin Khan, will conduct the proceedings.

The court has issued notices to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and other relevant parties, directing them to respond to the petitions.

Stay order remains in place

The Federal Constitutional Court has already issued a stay order preventing the withdrawal of the May 9-related cases until further proceedings.

The upcoming hearing will examine the legal challenges surrounding the provincial government’s decision.

Radio Pakistan seeks case transfer

Among the petitions is one filed by Radio Pakistan, which challenged the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s decision to withdraw a case related to the attack on its Peshawar premises.

In its petition, Radio Pakistan has requested the court to transfer the case outside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for further proceedings.
