Culture Reporter

Karachi: Express Entertainment held an exclusive media meet-up today to unveil its much-anticipated drama “Dil Dhoondta Hai Phir Wohi”, an emotionally rich story that explores the endurance of love in the face of memory and loss. The event brought together leading figures from Pakistan’s digital and entertainment communities to engage with the channel’s evolving creative vision and preview its latest production.

Renowned for its originality and impactful storytelling, Express Entertainment continues to redefine television in Pakistan with content that emphasizes creativity, diversity, and authenticity. The channel’s renewed focus on compelling narratives and artistic innovation was reflected in this special gathering.

Produced under Alpha Productions, Dil Dhoondta Hai Phir Wohi is the brainchild of Asad Siddiqui, whose dedication to emotional depth and visual excellence brings the story to life. Written by Rida Bilal, celebrated for her socially conscious and heartfelt storytelling, the drama revolves around Ali and Ramsha — two lovers whose devotion is tested when Ali is diagnosed with early-onset dementia. As his memories begin to fade, Ramsha’s struggle to preserve their love becomes a profound exploration of resilience, identity, and the enduring power of affection.

Directed by Adnan Sarwar, the series combines cinematic precision with emotionally resonant storytelling. Zara Noor Abbas and Zahid Ahmed deliver deeply moving performances in the lead roles, supported by a stellar ensemble cast including Rubina Ashraf, Faizan Shaikh, Mohammad Ahmed, and Naureen Gulwani. Together, they bring authenticity and nuance to a narrative that captures both the fragility and beauty of human connection.

Adding to its emotional depth, the drama’s soundtrack features Momin Khan Momin’s timeless kalaam “Wo Jo Hum Mein Tum Mein Qarar Tha”, soulfully rendered by Zeeshan Ali. The haunting melody underscores the drama’s themes of love, loss, and remembrance.

Express Entertainment also recognized the vital role of Pakistan’s digital creators and influencers in shaping contemporary entertainment culture. Their engagement, insights, and amplification continue to inspire the network’s mission to produce meaningful and resonant television experiences.
