Consulate General of Malaysia Hosts 2nd ASEAN Friendship Bowling Tournament in Karachi

Karachi: In celebration of ASEAN Day on August 8th, the Consulate General of Malaysia in Karachi successfully hosted the 2nd ASEAN Friendship Bowling Tournament on September 7, 2023, at the Royal Rodale Club in DHA, Karachi. The event brought together participants from ASEAN consulates and the Trade Office in Karachi, promoting camaraderie and celebrating regional unity.

Organized for the second time by the Consulate General of Malaysia, the tournament aimed to enhance cultural exchange and goodwill among the member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Representatives from all ASEAN consular offices in Karachi participated, including the Consulate General of Malaysia, the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia, the Royal Thai Consulate, the Vietnam Trade Office, and the Consulate of the Philippines. The event was a vibrant celebration of ASEAN’s diversity and solidarity.

A Celebration of Unity in Diversity

Participants showcased not only their bowling skills but also their appreciation for the shared values and traditions that connect ASEAN nations. This friendly competition provided an excellent platform for cross-cultural interactions and the building of lasting friendships.

“We are thrilled to host the 2nd ASEAN Friendship Bowling Tournament on the occasion of ASEAN Day,” said H.E. Herman Hardynata Ahmad, the Consul General of Malaysia. “This event embodies the essence of ASEAN—unity in diversity. It is a testament to the shared aspirations of our member nations.
