Karachi: Consul General of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Yang Yundong, reaffirmed the deep-rooted and enduring friendship between China and Pakistan, stating that “no one can undo our relationship.” He made these remarks during a meeting with an eight-member delegation from the Pakistan Tanners Association (Southern Zone), led by Chairman Dr. Danish Aman, at the Chinese Consulate in Karachi.
Mr. Hamid Zahur, Chairman of PTA Central, and Mr. Yousuf Shafiq, Vice Chairman, along with other senior members, were also present at the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting was to express gratitude and celebrate the unwavering support and solidarity shown by the Chinese government and people towards Pakistan during recent tensions with India. The gathering reflected the mutual respect and trust that underpin China-Pakistan relations.
Both sides held detailed discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation, especially in the leather industry. Special emphasis was placed on addressing restrictions on the import of essential chemicals used in leather manufacturing. The participants explored avenues for joint ventures and mutually beneficial solutions to facilitate smoother industrial collaboration.
Dr. Danish Aman emphasized that the Pakistan Tanners Association (Southern Zone) looks forward to deeper economic cooperation and stronger industrial ties between the two brotherly nations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the PTA delegation presented a memento to Consul General Yang Yundong as a token of appreciation for his continued support and warm hospitality.
