Karachi: The Consulate General of Indonesia in Karachi hosted a business lunch for Sindh businessmen ahead of the 1st Indonesia-South and Central Asia Business Forum (INASCA) and the 39th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2024. The luncheon, held at the PC Hotel, served as a precursor to the upcoming trade events scheduled in Jakarta.
During the luncheon, Mr. Teguh Wiweko emphasized the importance of collaboration between the two nations. He stated, “The presence of the Pakistani business community provides not just an opportunity for new ventures but also helps strengthen relationships that will benefit both countries.” He further highlighted Indonesia’s diverse offerings, ranging from high-quality exports to cutting-edge innovations in industries like agriculture, manufacturing, textiles, and services.
He also added that the participation of Pakistani businesses, supported by the Consulate, underscores the growing ties between Indonesia and Pakistan. The lunch provided essential details regarding the businessmen’s trip to Indonesia, aiming to prepare them for the upcoming events.
Dr. Ahmad Syofian, the Economic Consul of the Consulate, encouraged participants to seize this opportunity fully. He remarked that this trip is not only about business but also about building long-lasting relationships and gaining a deeper understanding of each other’s cultures and markets.
The business lunch set the stage for what promises to be a fruitful engagement between Indonesian and Sindh businesses at the 1st INASCA and 39th TEI. Both countries look forward to enhanced cooperation and stronger economic ties through these significant events.
