Dubai: A high-level Pakistani delegation led by Bilal Azhar Kayani, Minister of State for Finance and Railways and Head of the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit, has successfully concluded an official visit to the United Arab Emirates as part of the UAE Government’s Experience Exchange Programme (EEP).

The visit supported Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s reform agenda focused on modernizing public sector governance and promoting institutional efficiency. During the visit, Mr. Kayani thanked the UAE Government for facilitating strategic engagements in digital governance, public service delivery, and tax system modernization. He praised the UAE’s leadership in innovation-driven governance and emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to adopting global best practices.

On the final day, the delegation held key sessions with senior UAE officials including Mr. Mohammad Al Sharhan of the World Governments Summit, H.E. Khalid Ali Al Bustani of the Federal Tax Authority, H.E. Saeed Al Eter of the UAE Government Media Office, Dr. Waleed Al Ali of The Digital School, and H.E. Khalfan Belhoul of the Dubai Future Foundation. Discussions covered leadership development, digital transformation, performance excellence, and strategic communication.

The visit builds on the MoU signed on June 16, 2025, between Pakistan’s Ministry of Planning and the UAE Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, further strengthening bilateral cooperation in governance innovation.
