Bank Alfalah and Ahya Technologies launch a green banking partnership.
Bank Alfalah has partnered with Ahya Technologies to accelerate its green banking and sustainable finance transition through AI-powered software and strategic advisory services.
The partnership comes as demand for sustainable finance continues to grow across Pakistan. According to an Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) report, the country requires US$40–50 billion annually to address climate-related risks. However, the Climate Finance Wing of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination currently manages an active climate finance portfolio of only about US$400 million.

Farooq Ahmed Khan, Group Head of Corporate, Investment Banking and International Business at Bank Alfalah, said the bank remains committed to promoting sustainable finance and helping Pakistan build a climate-resilient future.
“Our partnership with Ahya Technologies will strengthen our green banking capabilities through data-driven decarbonization and responsible systems,” he said.
Overall, the initiative reflects Bank Alfalah’s long-term commitment to integrating sustainability into its banking operations while supporting Pakistan’s transition toward a greener economy.
