Karachi: The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi hosted the launch ceremony of the children’s YouTube channel “Pakkay Dost – Season 3” at Auditorium II, celebrating a new milestone for quality local-language content for young audiences. The event was attended by Sindh Minister for Culture Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, President Arts Council Muhammad Ahmed Shah, renowned humorist Anwar Maqsood, creator Bilal Maqsood, Sultana Siddiqui, Mazhar Abbas, and other notable figures from literature and performing arts.

It was announced that Pakkay Dost is now available in both Urdu and Sindhi, with plans to expand into other regional languages like Balochi, Punjabi, and Pashto. Addressing the audience, Minister Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah emphasized the lack of quality children’s programming and expressed confidence that Pakkay Dost will gain international recognition, combining entertainment with valuable life lessons.

President Arts Council Muhammad Ahmed Shah praised Bilal Maqsood’s commitment, noting that he set aside his musical career to focus on creating content for children. Sultana Siddiqui highlighted the importance of children’s programming for awareness and education, while Bilal Maqsood spoke passionately about fostering love for the Urdu language and ensuring children consume meaningful content during their formative years.

The new season features Sarah Yusuf teaching children about road safety and other essential lessons, with guest appearances from Asim Azhar, Shehzad Roy, and Bilal Maqsood. Supported by the Sindh Government and various sponsors, Pakkay Dost is now being used as an educational and inspirational tool across thousands of schools. Season 3 will release five brand-new episodes every Monday at 6:00 PM (PST) on YouTube.

A new series under the Pakkay Dost banner is also in collaboration with UNICEF, reinforcing the show’s mission to promote local languages, humor, and music, while making Urdu “cool” again. With its engaging format and focus on language, Pakkay Dost – Season 3 is poised to make a lasting impact on children across Pakistan.
