Apple Market Cap briefly crossed the $5 trillion mark on Tuesday, making the iPhone maker only the second company to reach the milestone after Nvidia.

Apple’s shares rose as much as 0.72% during trading. The stock touched an intraday high of $342.89, lifting the company’s market value to approximately $5.036 trillion.
However, the shares later eased slightly to $339.33. At that level, Apple’s market capitalization stood at $4.98 trillion.
Earlier this month, Apple reclaimed its position as the world’s most valuable listed company. It overtook Nvidia, which had held the top spot since June 2025.
Meanwhile, Nvidia’s shares gained 0.53% to $197.63, giving the chipmaker a market value of $4.78 trillion.
Analysts said Apple has benefited from strong demand for its products. Moreover, the company has avoided the heavy artificial intelligence spending seen across much of the technology sector.
Instead of investing billions in AI infrastructure, Apple has relied on Google’s AI technology to power new features, including an upgraded Siri.
As a result, the company has avoided the rising costs linked to large-scale data centres while maintaining healthy cash flows.
Furthermore, Apple kept iPhone prices unchanged when it recently announced price increases for MacBooks and iPads.
Analysts said that decision encouraged consumers to buy iPhones before any possible price increases later this year.
Apple’s stock has gained about 25% this year. Consequently, it has outperformed other major technology companies, including Nvidia, Meta, Alphabet and Microsoft.
On Tuesday, Apple also launched a new device leasing programme in the United States through payments company Klarna.
The programme offers monthly payments starting at $17.99 for an iPhone, $11.99 for an Apple Watch or iPad, and $24.99 for a Mac.
According to Forrester analyst Dipanjan Chatterjee, the programme changes how customers view product pricing. Instead of focusing on the full purchase price, buyers can spread the cost through affordable monthly payments.
Meanwhile, investors are awaiting Apple’s third-quarter earnings report, which the company will release after markets close on Thursday.
Analysts expect quarterly revenue to increase by more than 15% compared with the same period last year, reflecting continued demand for Apple’s products and services.
