Amitabh Bachchan Reveals Surprise Family Connection With Saif Ali Khan

Bachchan made the revelation while hosting Saif and Akshay Kumar on his show during their promotional activities for the upcoming psychological thriller Haiwaan.

Bachchan Explains the Family Link

During the conversation, Bachchan told Saif that many people were unaware that the two actors were related.

He explained that Raj Kapoor’s daughter Ritu Kapoor was the mother of Nikhil Nanda, who is married to Bachchan’s daughter, Shweta Bachchan Nanda.

Nikhil Nanda is the son of Ritu Kapoor and industrialist Rajan Nanda. His marriage to Shweta connects the Bachchan and Kapoor families through the Nanda family.

The wider connection also extends to Saif through his wife, actor Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Saif Responds With Humour

The revelation appeared to surprise Saif, prompting Bachchan to joke about the complicated family relationship.

Bachchan has also worked with Kareena Kapoor in several films, including Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Dev (2004) and Satyagraha (2013).

Haiwaan Set for September Release

Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar are continuing promotional activities for their psychological thriller Haiwaan.

The film is scheduled to release in cinemas on September 11.
