AJK Elections saw Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif congratulate Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and the party’s successful candidates after PML-N secured a strong lead in the second phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly elections.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Shehbaz Sharif praised the winning candidates and congratulated the party leadership on the election results.
He said the party’s continued success reflected the leadership of Nawaz Sharif and the dedication of the entire PML-N team. Moreover, he credited workers and supporters for running an effective election campaign.
PML-N secured 14 seats in the second phase of the AJK Legislative Assembly elections. As a result, the party emerged as the leading political force in the latest round of voting.
The prime minister said the results showed the people’s confidence in PML-N’s policies and leadership. He added that the campaign in Azad Kashmir successfully connected with voters.
Furthermore, Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed that the development, prosperity and welfare of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir remain the party’s top priorities. He said the government would continue working to meet public expectations.
Meanwhile, the prime minister welcomed the participation of all political parties in the elections. He said healthy political competition would strengthen the democratic process in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
