Islamabad: Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has accused Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval of being the “chief architect” of terrorism in Pakistan and the broader region.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera, the DG ISPR branded Doval as the “evil mastermind” behind India’s alleged terror enterprise, claiming that New Delhi is actively funding, planning, and providing technical support to terrorist groups operating within Pakistan.
“This terror enterprise cannot be sustained without Indian sponsorship,” said Lt Gen Chaudhry. “The strategy is clear: India wants to keep Pakistan embroiled in terrorism to hinder its growth and maintain regional hegemony.”
He pointed to India’s support for terrorist outfits such as Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan — names assigned by Pakistan to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Balochistan-based groups allegedly backed by Indian intelligence agency RAW.
Lt Gen Chaudhry also cited historical examples, including India’s role in 1971 through support for the Mukti Bahini, and evidence from captured terrorists and the case of Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav.
“India continues to exploit both men and women in Balochistan for its nefarious designs,” he added.
Calling India a “reckless and irresponsible state,” Lt Gen Chaudhry warned that India’s blame game could dangerously lower thresholds between the two nuclear-armed nations.
“One act of violence could trigger a catastrophic conflict,” he said, stressing that any misadventure against Pakistan would have “horrific consequences the world may not be able to endure.”
