Karachi: The 15th Rashid D. Habib Memorial National Professionals Golf Tournament concluded on February 1 at Karachi Golf Club, bringing four days of intense competition, sportsmanship, and national pride. The tournament, held from January 29 to February 1, 2026, featured Pakistan’s best golfers competing across professional, senior, junior, lady, and caddie divisions.
Overall and Professional Category
Ahmad Baig emerged as the overall champion with a remarkable score of 276 gross (12 under par), earning the top prize of Rs. 1,203,913. Baig’s final round showcased exceptional consistency, carding 68 with birdies on seven holes. This victory marks his third consecutive win at the Rashid D. Habib Memorial, solidifying his reputation as one of Pakistan’s leading golfing talents. The runner-up group—M. Zubair, M. Shabbir, M. Ashfaq AGGI, and Hamza T. Amin—finished at 281 gross (7 under par), each receiving Rs. 498,947.
Hole-in-One Highlights
The tournament featured two spectacular Hole-in-One achievements. On January 26, caddy Muhammad Akram scored on Yellow Hole 16 (Par 3), winning a Suzuki Alto Automatic. On February 1, professional Zubair Hussain struck a Hole-in-One on Red Hole 7, claiming a Toyota Altis—his second Hole-in-One in the Rashid D. Habib Memorial series.


Category Winners
In the senior professionals division, Muhammad Nazir topped the leaderboard with 136 gross (8 under par), followed by Afsar Ali at 138 gross. Junior professional Muhammad Kashif led with 146 gross (2 over par), while lady professional Humna Amjad triumphed with 158 gross (14 over par). Shahzad Mushtaq won the KGC Professionals category with 151 gross (7 over par). Ghani Khan secured the KGC Senior Professionals title with 78 gross (6 over par), and Kamran Zahoor claimed the KGC Caddies category with 154 gross (8 over par).
Pro-Am and Appearance Money
The Pro-Am event featured 30 professionals, each receiving Rs. 25,000 for participation. The winning team led by Muhammad Shabbir scored 49.3 net, earning Rs. 50,000, while runner-up Wisal Khan’s team also posted 49.3 net, securing Rs. 30,000. Third place went to Tallat Ejaz’s team with 50.0 net, awarded Rs. 20,000. Appearance money was distributed across categories, including Rs. 1,000,000 among top professionals Ahmad Baig, Muhammad Shabbir, Matloob Ahmed, Muhammad Alam, and Muhammad Minhaj Maqsood. Senior professionals and junior professionals received Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 50,000 respectively.

Closing Ceremony and Remarks
Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi HI(M), Commander Karachi, Pakistan Navy, presided over the closing ceremony as Chief Guest and presented awards to winners. Chairman Bank AL Habib, Abbas D. Habib, praised the participants and organizers, highlighting the tournament’s legacy in memory of Rashid D. Habib. “This event inspires excellence and unity,” he said, acknowledging the efforts of Karachi Golf Club, the tournament team, Bank AL Habib, and supporting staff.
