Provincial Minister of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities and Archives Sindh Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah visited the UAE Consulate and met Consul General H.E Bakheet Ateeq Al Remeithi to discuss bilateral tourism and cultural activities and the projects for the promotion of tourism under public-private partnership.
Muhammad Isa Al Tahiri, CEO of U Bank was also present on this occasion.
UAE Consul General H.E Bakheet Ateeq AlRemeithi said that there are important social, historical and cultural relations between the UAE and Pakistan, while more work is needed on tourism and culture to strengthen the relations between the two countries.
H.E Bakheet Ateeq AlRemeithi said that a joint effort will be made for investment under public-private partnership, while ease will be created in other matters including visa for tourists.
In the meeting, while discussing the recent changes in the cultural relations between the two countries, Provincial Minister Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah said that Pakistan is keen to strengthen cultural and public relations with the UAE and for the consolidation of cultural relations, joint cultural activities should be held.
Shah said that there are numerous opportunities and a favorable environment for investment in Sindh, both countries will be benefited by further increasing the exports of handi-grafts.
Shah said that the founder of People’s Party Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto played a key role in the establishment and unity of the United Arab Emirates.
Moreover, Provincial Minister Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah and Consul General UAE H.E Bakheet Ateeq AlRemeithi also cut the cake for the win of Al-ain Football Club.
