Rawalpindi: Security agencies have broadened their investigation, detaining six additional jail employees in connection with the alleged facilitation network involving former Prime Minister Imran Khan at Adiala Jail.
Details of the Detained Employees
According to media reports, three of the detained employees are women. The detained group includes a sweeper, two lady wardens, and three CCTV camera operators. Their mobile phones have been confiscated and sent to a laboratory for forensic analysis.
Allegations of Communication Facilitation
An official from the prisons department revealed that female staff members allegedly facilitated communication between Bushra Bibi and her husband, Imran Khan, while in prison. The detention of these employees follows a preliminary investigation led by Deputy Superintendent Jail Muhammad Akram and Assistant Superintendent Bilal.

Ongoing Investigation
The security agencies are continuing their investigation, which currently does not involve any civilian organization. Meanwhile, Adiala Jail has increased its manpower to enhance surveillance within the facility.
Missing Jail Official Case
It’s important to note that Deputy Superintendent Muhammad Akram reportedly went missing a few days ago. However, the Prisons Department has confirmed that he is in the custody of security agencies. Akram was responsible for the security of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Muhammad Akram’s wife has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench, seeking her husband’s recovery. In response, the court has ordered the Superintendent of Adiala Jail to appear in person and has also requested a response from the Ministry of Defense.
