KARACHI, September 30, 2026: The Pakistan Hotels Association (PHA) has announced a renewed national initiative to promote Pakistan as a leading tourism destination following the election of Mohammad Anwar Qureshi as its Chairman.
Under the initiative, PHA will work with federal and provincial tourism authorities, tourism boards and private-sector stakeholders to highlight Pakistan’s diverse tourism potential. The campaign will showcase the country’s mountains, cultural heritage, historical sites, coastal destinations, religious tourism, eco-tourism and adventure tourism.
The association also plans to support the development of integrated tourism circuits connecting major destinations with hotels, travel operators and local tourism experiences.

PHA will strengthen digital tourism promotion and seek greater international visibility for Pakistan through modern marketing strategies and online platforms. The association will also encourage investment in tourism infrastructure and quality accommodation in emerging destinations.
PHA Chairman Mohammad Anwar Qureshi said Pakistan has immense tourism potential and that coordinated efforts between the public and private sectors are essential to present the country effectively to international visitors.
He said Pakistan’s hospitality, culture, natural beauty and heritage could offer visitors diverse and memorable travel experiences.
Qureshi added that PHA aims to strengthen tourism’s contribution to employment, investment, local economies and foreign exchange earnings.
The association said it would continue working with relevant stakeholders to position Pakistan as a welcoming, sustainable and internationally recognised tourism destination.
