The Pakistan Australia Business Forum (PABF) hosted its Annual Award Ceremony Dinner in Karachi, bringing together business leaders, government officials and trade representatives from Pakistan and Australia to highlight progress in bilateral commercial relations.
Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan Timothy Kane attended the event as Patron-in-Chief of PABF. His participation highlighted Australia’s engagement in efforts to strengthen economic and trade relations between the two countries.
Speaking at the ceremony, PABF Chairman Pervez Madraswala said the forum had remained active during the COVID-19 pandemic and continued efforts to maintain business dialogue between Pakistan and Australia.
He said PABF organised a series of webinars with representatives from the Australian High Commission, Austrade, Pakistan Trade Commission Sydney, Pakistan High Commission and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).

According to Madraswala, these engagements helped maintain communication between business communities and opened new avenues for commercial cooperation.
The forum also led a delegation of Pakistani pulses traders to Gulfood Expo 2025 in Dubai. In coordination with Austrade, PABF arranged one-to-one business meetings during the exhibition, helping establish new trade linkages.
During the ceremony, the forum recognised and awarded leading traders and business figures for their contributions to Pakistan-Australia trade.
The awards covered several key sectors, including agriculture, food, education, energy and technology, reflecting the range of commercial activities connecting the two markets.
