The board said it would not comment further at this stage on unverified reports or information related to the matter.
According to sources, the inquiry covers the decision to send several players back after the Lord’s Test, alleged disciplinary violations and the reported taking into custody of players’ mobile phones.

The development follows major changes to Pakistan’s Test squad after the team lost its first two matches against England. The PCB sent several players home and also released members of the coaching staff from the team.
