Pakistan-Kuwait Ties received fresh momentum on Wednesday as Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah in Islamabad to discuss bilateral cooperation and the evolving situation in the Middle East.

The meeting, held at Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, focused on expanding cooperation across multiple sectors while reaffirming the longstanding friendship between the two countries. According to the Foreign Office, the discussions were warm and productive, reflecting the shared commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
Both leaders reviewed the full spectrum of Pakistan-Kuwait relations and agreed to deepen collaboration based on mutual trust, shared history and continued cooperation.
The two ministers also exchanged views on regional and international developments, with particular attention to the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East. They emphasized the importance of continued diplomatic engagement and regional stability.
Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday on an official visit at the invitation of Ishaq Dar. Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Zahid Hussain welcomed the visiting minister at Islamabad International Airport.
The Foreign Office said the visit reflects the close and enduring partnership between Pakistan and Kuwait, built on decades of mutual respect and cooperation.
During his stay in Pakistan, the Kuwaiti foreign minister is also expected to hold courtesy meetings with Pakistan’s senior leadership to further strengthen diplomatic and strategic cooperation between the two countries.
