Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday held separate meetings with Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry and National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Chairman Lt Gen Inam Haider Malik. He reviewed national security, political affairs and monsoon preparedness.

According to official sources, Shehbaz Sharif discussed matters related to the Ministry of Interior with Talal Chaudhry. They also reviewed the country’s overall political and security situation.
Later, NDMA Chairman Lt Gen Inam Haider Malik briefed the prime minister on Pakistan’s preparedness for the ongoing monsoon season.
During the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif directed the NDMA to strengthen coordination with provincial governments. He also asked Provincial Disaster Management Authorities (PDMAs) to improve their emergency response.
In addition, officials updated the prime minister on efforts to upgrade Pakistan’s early warning system. They also briefed him on coordination with the Ministry of Climate Change. The collaboration aims to improve disaster preparedness during the monsoon season.
