Iran Strikes: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed it carried out coordinated missile and drone attacks on US military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain in response to recent American military operations.
According to Iranian state media, the IRGC said its naval and aerospace forces launched the joint operation between 2:00am and 3:00am local time on Sunday. The statement said the operation targeted Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait and Port Salman, the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.
The IRGC claimed the strikes destroyed eight key pieces of US military infrastructure. Iranian officials described the operation as a “decisive response” to recent US military action.
The statement also alleged that the United States had attacked five Iranian coastal locations on Sunday, describing those strikes as a violation of a 14-point memorandum of understanding and an existing ceasefire agreement.
Iran further warned that any future US attack, regardless of its scale or nature, would receive a strong military response.
US officials have not immediately confirmed the Iranian claims. As tensions continue to rise, the international community is closely monitoring developments across the region.
