41st Anniversary of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Celebrated in Islamabad

Islamabad: The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) marked its 41st anniversary of independence with a grand reception hosted by TRNC Representative Ms. Dilsad Senol and Mr. Akin Can Senol. The event highlighted the TRNC’s journey towards freedom, sovereignty, and resilience against aggression, paying tribute to the leaders, citizens, and soldiers who safeguarded their independence with support from Türkiye.
The reception, held in Islamabad, was graced by notable dignitaries from Pakistan and the international community. Mohammad Aamir Khan, Director General of Afghanistan, Iran, and Türkiye Division at Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended as the chief guest. Other key attendees included:
Senators, parliamentarians, business leaders, and members of the press also participated, reflecting the deepening ties between TRNC and Pakistan.
The event showcased the growing collaboration between TRNC and Pakistan in various fields, including education, government-to-government (G2G) partnerships, business-to-business (B2B) initiatives, and people-to-people (P2P) exchanges. Commonalities in history, culture, and religion further solidify the bond between the two nations.
The reception also witnessed the presence of diplomats from Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Libya, Myanmar, Brunei, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Palestine, and other nations. Ambassador of Türkiye, Mr. Irfan Neziroglu, and other members of the diplomatic corps were prominent attendees.
The national anthems of Pakistan and TRNC were played, followed by a documentary showcasing the independence and development of TRNC. The event served as a platform to reinforce bilateral relations and celebrate shared values.
The grand reception symbolized the growing partnership and mutual respect between the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Pakistan, fostering stronger ties for a prosperous future.
