Karachi: The prestigious 15th LADIESFUND® Women’s Awards 2025 Pakistan took place at the Sindh Governor House, celebrating the outstanding achievements of Pakistan’s most dynamic women across various industries. The grand event gathered distinguished guests, awardees, government officials, corporate leaders, and members of the diplomatic community, all united to honour and empower women making a significant impact in Pakistan and beyond.
Among this year’s award recipients were Moneeza Hashmi, Roshaneh Zafar, Sarwar Peshimam, Sayeeda Leghari, Auntie Munawar Dadabhoy, and Javeria Rajput, recognized for their exceptional contributions in their respective fields.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Moneeza Hashmi, a renowned media personality and advocate for women’s empowerment. Visionary Awards were conferred upon Roshaneh Zafar, founder of Kashf Foundation, and Sarwar Peshimam, co-founder of Shahi Supari. Notably, Peshimam’s business generates an annual revenue of PKR 10 billion, contributing significantly to Pakistan’s economy.
A highlight of the evening was the Women of Inspiration Awards, where 32 outstanding women were honoured, including Meher Jaffri (Acting), Parveen Islam (Education), and Shahzadi Rai (Inclusivity). The awards also celebrated 9 LADIESFUND Women of Inspiration 2024 and 20 members of the world’s first female solar roof installation team from LADIESFUND Energy.
The People’s Choice Awards, announced live, recognised Javeria Rajput (Most Popular Influencer), Auntie Munawar Dadabhoy (Most Beloved Chef), and Sayeeda Leghari (Momentum Award Winner).
The event, produced by Amin Gulgee, featured a mesmerizing dance performance on Pasoori by Sheema Kermani, a pictorial showcase of LADIESFUND’s global journey, and an uplifting closing performance of “Dil Dil Pakistan” by Nabila Bano.
Federal Secretary & Advisor to the Governor of Sindh, S.T. Mustafa, delivered a heartfelt welcome address and presented awards alongside Ziad Khan Kessori, son of Governor Sindh, and Tara Uzra Dawood, President of LADIESFUND.
The event also marked the launch of the LADIESFUND Breast Cancer Endowment Fund, spearheaded by Sima Kamil and Sana Pirzada, reinforcing the commitment to women’s healthcare. Additionally, a white paper on medical-legal reforms in Pakistan was unveiled.
