Karachi: The Ziauddin University Examination Board (ZUEB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UK-based Learning Resource Network (LRN) to introduce another British examination board in Pakistan.
The signing took place at the British Deputy High Commission Karachi during LRN’s official launch, marking a significant step toward enhancing international education standards in the country.
Key Highlights of the MoU
- 15% Discount on LRN GCSE: ZUEB will receive a 15% discount on International General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) qualifications from LRN.
- Examinations in Local Subjects: ZUEB will conduct exams for Islamiat, Pakistan Studies, Sindhi, and Urdu, while all other subjects will be assessed by LRN. Certificates and transcripts will be issued exclusively through ZUEB in Sindh.
- Adoption of LRN International GCSE Syllabus: ZUEB will integrate LRN’s curriculum to enhance educational quality.
- Teacher Training & Resources: LRN will provide teacher training, past papers, and mock papers to support this collaboration.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Asim Hussain, Chancellor of Ziauddin University, and Dr. Muhammad Zohaib Tariq, CEO of LRN, reinforcing their commitment to academic excellence.
