Earlier, Trump described the expanded World Cup as one of the most successful sporting events in history. He made the remarks during a reception with FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

Meanwhile, Spain captain Rodri expects a physical contest against Argentina. He said Spain can adapt to different styles of play. He also expects his team to remain focused throughout the match.

When asked about possible provocative tactics from Argentina, Rodri said such situations are part of football.

Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni urged fans to appreciate another World Cup final appearance by Lionel Messi. He described the 39-year-old captain as a football legend who has already made history.

Elsewhere, England and France will meet in Miami on Saturday to decide third place after losing their respective semi-finals.

England coach Thomas Tuchel described his team’s defeat to Argentina as painful and admitted the players are still dealing with the disappointment.

France coach Didier Deschamps also confirmed that Saturday’s match will be his final World Cup game as national team coach. He said he will cherish the memories of leading France over the past 15 years.
