Uzbekistan’s private airline Centrum Air has launched additional regular flights on the “Tashkent–Lahore–Tashkent” route.

An Additional Regular Air Route Launched Between Tashkent and Lahore

Lahore: The airline’s flight “SU 6561” successfully landed at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore at 06:30 local time.

At Lahore International Airport, the inaugural flight was ceremonially welcomed with a traditional water salute in accordance with international aviation procedures, followed by an official ceremony.

The event was attended by Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Alisher Tukhtayev, Uzbekistan’s Honorary Consul in Punjab Najib Vohra, the management of Allama Iqbal International Airport, the aircraft commander and crew members, representatives of leading tourism companies, local media personnel, as well as passengers arriving from Tashkent and departing from Lahore.

During the welcoming ceremony, Pakistani representatives expressed sincere gratitude for the launch of another direct flight on the “Tashkent–Lahore–Tashkent” route. They also emphasized the importance of establishing direct air connections between regions of Uzbekistan and the city of Karachi.

It is worth noting that flights on the “Tashkent–Lahore” route represent another practical outcome of ongoing efforts to develop transport links between Uzbekistan and Pakistan, fully utilize and expand existing potential in trade, investment, and tourism within the framework of regional connectivity initiatives.

Additionally, these flights will contribute to creating a convenient, fast, and safe air corridor between Central Asian countries and Pakistan via Uzbekistan.

“We are pleased that Centrum Air’s entry into the Pakistani market is being supported by a strong and experienced partner such as Gerry’s Group,” said Adil Mirza, a representative of Centrum Air. “The launch of additional flights on the Lahore–Tashkent route reflects our broader goals of strengthening regional connections and providing passengers with more efficient travel opportunities across our network.”

With this new route, Centrum Air continues to expand its flight geography and strengthen its position as a reliable and active airline connecting Central Asia with key global destinations.

Following the official ceremony, the aircraft departed from Lahore to Tashkent carrying 180 passengers.

For reference, the total number of flights currently operating on the “Tashkent–Islamabad” and “Tashkent–Lahore” routes has reached six. Of these, two flights operate on the Tashkent–Islamabad route, while four operate on the Tashkent–Lahore route.
