Karachi: The Sindh government, led by Provincial Energy Minister Nasir Hussain Shah, has taken a significant step towards sustainable energy by transitioning Jinnah University for Women to solar power. Shah announced the Independence Day ceremony at the university’s Nazimabad campus.
Key figures, including Chancellor Vajee Uddin Ahmed, Vice Chancellor Dr. Naeem ur Rehman, former Test cricketer Shoaib Muhammad, and Sports Officer District Central Hajira Nawab, attended the event. Additionally, a large gathering of teachers and students joined the ceremony.
During his speech, Nasir Hussain Shah emphasized the importance of freedom and the sacrifices made for Pakistan’s independence. Moreover, he urged the nation to remember the struggles of occupied Kashmir and the oppressed people of Palestine. Shah also encouraged everyone to contribute to the country’s development.
The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Following this, students presented a sketch depicting Pakistan’s story, which the audience appreciated. Finally, the event concluded with Shah distributing awards to students for their outstanding achievements in various fields.
