Karachi: The City School Southern Region hosted the Long Service Awards 2025, celebrating the dedication and loyalty of employees whose contributions have shaped the institution’s continued success.
The event opened with an address by Omer Zubair, Director Operations, who highlighted that the school’s achievements are built on the hard work and consistency of its people. He noted that every milestone in The City School’s journey reflects the collective effort and passion of its staff.
Jehangir Feroz, Member of the Board of Directors and chief guest, praised long-serving employees for their commitment and professionalism. He said the true strength of The City School lies not in its infrastructure, but in the people who bring it to life every day, calling them “ambassadors of the school’s values and vision.”
The ceremony was attended by distinguished educationists, including Arshad Hussain (Managing Director, Oxford University Press), Shahid Ashraf (Deputy Director, Cambridge Sindh & Balochistan), Salma Adil (Sales Director, OUP), Shazia Asad (Senior Project Manager, OUP), Khushbaqt Shujaat (former senator), and Sarosh Lodhi (former vice chancellor, NED University). Their presence reflected the institution’s strong partnerships across the education sector.
Key members of The City School’s leadership team — Mariyum Imran (Director Studies), Shahzad Khan (Chief Operating Officer), Usman Riaz (Group Head HR), Syed Zulqarnain (Head of Administration), and Junaid Bashir (Director Project) — also attended, reaffirming the school’s commitment to recognizing excellence at every level.
Teachers, administrative staff, and support personnel were honoured with commemorative shields and awards, recognizing their years of service and dedication to the institution’s mission.
In closing remarks, Raza Abbas Naqvi, Regional Director Southern Region, acknowledged the collective spirit of The City School community. He said the institution’s success rests on the dedication of its people — those who continue to educate, inspire, and shape generations with passion and purpose.
