Songkran marks the beginning of the traditional Thai calendar and is celebrated across Thailand with water festivities, family gatherings, and acts of respect. The water symbolizes the washing away of misfortunes and the welcoming of a fresh start filled with happiness
and prosperity.

Guests participate in traditional Thai games, adding to the festive and lively atmosphere. The poolside setting at Avari Towers, decorated in colorful Thai style, provides a perfect backdrop for an evening of cultural exchange and camaraderie.

The event underscores the strong cultural ties between Thailand and Pakistan and demonstrates how shared celebrations can build lasting people-to-people connections.

Through Songkran, the Consulate-General continues to promote mutual understanding and friendship between the two nations.
