Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Governor Kamran Khan Tessori attended a reception hosted by the Consulate of Kuwait to mark Kuwait’s 65th National Day and 35th Liberation Day, reaffirming the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Kuwait.

The ceremony was organised by Kuwait’s Consul General Salim Al-Hamdan at a local hotel and was attended by diplomats, officials and members of the business and expatriate communities.

Upon arrival, the provincial leadership was warmly received by the Kuwaiti envoy and consular staff. A cake-cutting ceremony was also held to commemorate the occasion.

In his message, the chief minister extended heartfelt congratulations to the leadership and people of Kuwait, describing ties between the two countries as historic and based on mutual respect and cooperation.

“Pakistan and Kuwait share brotherly relations that continue to strengthen with time,” he said, adding that the Sindh government stands with Kuwait in its celebrations and looks forward to further expanding bilateral cooperation.

Murad Ali Shah reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing diplomatic, economic and people-to-people relations with Kuwait. He also presented a bouquet to the Kuwaiti consul general as a gesture of goodwill.

Governor Tessori echoed similar sentiments, noting that the relationship between the two nations has grown stronger over the years and holds significant potential for future collaboration.

The event reflected the close friendship between Pakistan and Kuwait and underscored continued efforts to promote cooperation across multiple sectors.
