Public Breaks VIP Protocol at Bilawal Chowrangi After Traffic Blockade in Karachi

Karachi: Frustration over prolonged traffic disruption led citizens to break a VIP security protocol at Bilawal Chowrangi, as commuters reacted to being held up for nearly 30 minutes on Wednesday night.

According to sources, traffic at the busy intersection was halted due to the movement of a high-profile convoy, triggering inconvenience for motorists and commuters during peak evening hours. Eyewitness footage circulating on social media shows people stepping forward and removing barricades as the convoy approached, causing vehicles in the protocol to slow down and eventually get stuck.

The incident reportedly occurred around 9pm and quickly went viral online, sparking widespread debate about VIP culture and public inconvenience.

Social media users largely supported the citizens’ reaction, criticizing the practice of stopping traffic for extended periods to facilitate official movement. Many argued that such measures disrupt daily life and should be minimized, especially in a densely populated city like Karachi.

The episode highlights growing public resentment toward VIP protocols, particularly when they lead to significant delays for ordinary citizens.

Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
