Petrol Price Hike Fuel Price Rises to Rs358.77 Per Litre in Pakistan

A petrol price hike has pushed the cost of petrol to Rs358.77 per litre in Pakistan, according to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division.

The government increased the petrol price by Rs12.90 per litre, while the price of diesel rose by Rs3.72. Following the revision, diesel will now cost Rs381.77 per litre.

The new prices took effect from midnight and will remain applicable through September 8, according to the notification.

The latest adjustment comes as the Ministry of Petroleum continues to revise fuel prices on a daily basis. The frequent changes have drawn close attention from consumers and businesses because fluctuations in fuel costs can directly affect transportation expenses and the prices of goods.

Petrol and diesel play a central role in Pakistan’s transport and logistics networks. Higher fuel prices can therefore increase operating costs for transport providers and businesses, while also placing additional pressure on household budgets.

The latest increase comes at a time when consumers are already closely monitoring changes in fuel prices, which can influence commuting costs, freight charges and prices across the wider economy.
