Karachi: The Pakistan Council on Foreign Relations (PCFR) and the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China jointly organized a seminar titled “Chinese Modernization and Pakistan-China Relations” at the Chinese Consulate in Karachi.
The seminar marked the 10th anniversary of President Xi Jinping’s historic visit to Pakistan and was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, government officials, business leaders, academics, and PCFR members.
In his welcome address, Chinese Consul General Mr. Yang Yundong highlighted the significance of President Xi’s 2015 visit, calling it a turning point in Pakistan-China relations. He noted that China’s modernization continues to drive high-quality development and fosters shared prosperity with Pakistan, reinforcing the countries’ time-tested friendship.
