Pakistan’s Minorities Stand Shoulder to Shoulder with Armed Forces: Dr Sham Sundar Advani

KARACHI: Pakistan’s minority communities reaffirmed their solidarity with the country’s armed forces during a dignified ceremony held at the historic Panch Mukhi Hanuman Mandir in Soldier Bazaar to commemorate the first anniversary of the events of May 10 under the theme “Ma’raka-e-Haq Bunyan-e-Marsoos, Pakistan Zindabad.”

The event, organized by host Ram Nath Mishra Maharaj, drew members of the Hindu community alongside people from different walks of life who gathered to pay tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces and the Pakistan Air Force for their professionalism, courage, and sacrifices in defending the country.

Addressing the ceremony as chief guest, Dr Sham Sundar K. Advani, Member of the Sindh Assembly and Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh for Minority Affairs, said Pakistan’s minorities have always stood united with the armed forces in safeguarding the homeland.

He stated that during last year’s cross-border tensions, Pakistan’s armed forces responded with restraint, professionalism, and bravery, delivering what he described as a decisive response to aggression. He particularly praised the Pakistan Air Force for effectively defending the country’s airspace and demonstrating exceptional operational capability.

“Pakistan’s defence is unassailable, and the entire nation stands united against any threat to the country’s sovereignty,” Dr Advani said, adding that Pakistan remains committed to regional peace while fully prepared to defend itself against any aggression.

He said the ceremony reflected the spirit of national unity, patriotism, and resilience, emphasizing that people belonging to all faiths and communities are united for the defence, progress, and stability of Pakistan.

Dr Advani also reiterated that minority communities would continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces in every challenging moment faced by the country.

The ceremony concluded with special prayers for Pakistan’s peace, prosperity, and the continued success of its armed forces. PPP leader Lachhman Das, Professor Manhoj Chohan, community representatives, and several notable personalities also attended the event.
