Pakistan Pavilion Opens at Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2026

Pakistan’s pavilion at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) 2026 was inaugurated by Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan at the ADNEC Centre, highlighting the country’s literary, educational, cultural and intellectual heritage.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by representatives of Pakistan’s publishing and literary community, including Murad Ali Mohmand, Director Headquarters of the National Book Foundation (NBF); Amar Shahid, Director of Book Corner Pakistan; and Sarmad Khan, Co-Founder of Urdu Books World.

The Pakistan Pavilion features a diverse collection of publications from the NBF, Book Corner Pakistan and other leading Pakistani publishers. The collection includes Urdu and English literature, children’s books, educational material, history, culture, religion, poetry, fiction, biographies and contemporary works.

Following the inauguration, Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan toured the pavilion and met participating publishers. He appreciated their efforts to promote Pakistani literature internationally and reaffirmed the Embassy’s support for expanding Pakistan’s literary and cultural presence in the United Arab Emirates.

The ambassador also met Saeed Hamdan Al Tunaiji, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC), which organises the annual book fair. Their discussions focused on opportunities to strengthen Pakistan-UAE cooperation in literature, publishing, translation, education and cultural exchange.

Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan also appreciated the ALC’s efforts to bring publishers, authors and cultural institutions from around the world together through the annual event.

Located at Hall 5, Stand 5E24, the Pakistan Pavilion will remain open at the ADNEC Centre from September 13 to 18, 2026, from 9am to 10pm daily. Visitors can explore a broad selection of Pakistani publications and gain insight into the country’s literary and publishing landscape.
