Petrol Reduced by Rs6 Per Litre, Diesel by Rs6.80
The federal government has announced another reduction in petroleum prices, providing fresh relief to consumers amid ongoing economic pressure.
Under the latest revision, petrol prices have been reduced by Rs6 per litre, while high-speed diesel prices have been cut by Rs6.80 per litre.
Following the decrease, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs403.78 per litre, while diesel will now be available at Rs402.78 per litre.
The latest move comes just a week after the government reduced petroleum prices by Rs5 per litre.
After last week’s adjustment, petrol and diesel prices had been fixed at Rs409.78 and Rs409.58 per litre respectively.
Prior to these reductions, the government had significantly increased fuel prices, pushing petrol to Rs414.78 per litre and high-speed diesel to Rs414.58 per litre.
Economic observers say the continued reduction in fuel prices could ease transportation costs and provide indirect relief in the prices of essential commodities and daily-use items.
The development is being viewed as a positive sign for inflation-hit consumers ahead of Eidul Azha.
