Pakistan Advances Crypto and Blockchain Sector Under FPCCI Leadership to Boost Digital Economy

A significant push toward the development of Pakistan’s crypto and blockchain ecosystem was highlighted in a key meeting of the Central Standing Committee for Crypto and Blockchain held at Federation House under the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI). The meeting was chaired by Convener of the Central Executive Committee for Crypto and Blockchain, Farhan Ur Rehman.

The session focused on modern technology trends, digital investment opportunities, and the growing role of blockchain and cryptocurrency in Pakistan’s emerging digital economy. Business leaders and technology experts participated in detailed discussions covering regulatory frameworks, financial innovation, and investment potential in the sector.

Participants unanimously emphasized that blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies are becoming a vital component of the global economic future. They stressed the importance of equipping Pakistan’s youth with advanced digital skills to remain competitive in the evolving global market.

Farhan Ur Rehman stated that Pakistan has strong potential in the IT and digital sectors. He noted that effective collaboration between the government and private sector could position Pakistan as a regional hub for the digital economy. He further added that blockchain technology can enhance transparency in financial systems while generating new employment and investment opportunities.

The meeting also highlighted the need for a technology-friendly environment aligned with global standards to attract foreign investment and accelerate economic growth. Participants expressed confidence that continued progress in this sector would strengthen Pakistan’s economy in the coming years.

The committee reaffirmed its commitment to developing practical policy recommendations, improving coordination with government institutions, and increasing awareness within the business community regarding blockchain adoption. Experts viewed the meeting as a positive step toward Pakistan’s broader digital transformation.
