Minsk: The Embassy of Pakistan in Minsk, in collaboration with Vitebsk State Medical University, has inaugurated a “Pakistan Cultural/Educational Center” on the university campus. This center boasts an extensive collection of books about Pakistan, stunning artworks from renowned Pakistani artists, breathtaking photographs showcasing the country’s diverse landscapes, and a vibrant array of artifacts that reflect the rich traditions of Pakistani arts and crafts.

The inauguration ceremony welcomed senior leadership from the university and Pakistani students currently enrolled there. His Excellency Sajjad Haider Khan, Ambassador of Pakistan to Belarus, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Vitebsk State Medical University for its invaluable partnership in establishing the center.

He highlighted Vitebsk’s rich cultural heritage and its vital role in fostering international education, with hundreds of foreign students pursuing higher education there.

Ambassador Khan also mentioned the Embassy’s participation in the annual “Slavianski Bazaar” Festival in Vitebsk for the past four consecutive years, reinforcing cultural ties between the two nations. The university’s Rector commended the Embassy for its initiative and assured support for future collaborations.

Following the inauguration, the Ambassador held an hour-long interaction with over 150 students in attendance. The program included a detailed presentation on Pakistan, a video documentary, and a Q&A session.
