LPG to Become More Expensive in Pakistan Starting Tomorrow

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has notified the maximum price of LPG effective from April 1, 2026, with an upward revision of more than Rs. 900 per 11.8 kg cylinder.

The price of a cylinder has surged to Rs. 3,101 in April, compared with Rs. 2,177 per cylinder in March 2026.

LPG prices have also jumped to Rs. 262,817 per ton for April, against Rs. 184,536 per ton reported in March, showing a massive increase of Rs. 78,280 per ton in a single month.

The increase in LPG prices has been attributed to higher crude oil and petroleum prices in both global and domestic markets.

OGRA stated that the LPG producer price is linked with the Saudi Aramco CP and the US dollar exchange rate. Compared with the previous month, Saudi Aramco CP increased by 44 percent. On the other hand, the average dollar exchange rate decreased by 0.11 percent, cumulatively resulting in an increase in LPG consumer price by Rs. 923.71 per 11.8 kg cylinder, or 34.66 percent.

The per kg increase in LPG consumer price stands at Rs. 78.28, according to the OGRA notification.
