Khawaja Asif Says “Marka-e-Haq” Demonstrates Pakistan’s Stronger and Faster Military Response Capability

Islamabad: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that “Marka-e-Haq” has proven Pakistan’s enhanced military readiness, warning that any future aggression against the country will be met with an even more intense and decisive response.

According to Radio Pakistan, the defence minister stated that the coordinated response capability of the Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force is now faster and more integrated than ever before, making it difficult for any adversary to anticipate or match Pakistan’s defensive actions.

In a video statement, Khawaja Asif emphasized national unity, saying the entire nation stands firmly behind its armed forces like a “steel wall.” He added that Pakistan’s youth possess the confidence and awareness needed to defend the country in any situation.

The minister recalled that May 10 has been officially designated as “Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq” following a 2025 announcement by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, to commemorate what the government describes as the success of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos and national solidarity.

Speaking earlier at a book launch event organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in collaboration with ISPR, Asif said Pakistan had emerged stronger and more stable after recent conflicts, adding that the armed forces successfully countered India’s “nefarious designs.”

He claimed that during Marka-e-Haq, Pakistan neutralized advanced Indian defence systems and responded effectively to hostile actions, asserting that the country remains prepared to counter any form of hybrid or proxy warfare.

Referring to the escalation that began after the April 22, 2025 Pahalgam incident, the minister reiterated Pakistan’s position of rejecting allegations made by India. He said tensions escalated further after a series of cross-border strikes, leading to retaliatory operations from both sides.

Khawaja Asif said Pakistan’s response during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos demonstrated its defensive strength, while also acknowledging that a ceasefire was later achieved through international diplomatic efforts, including mediation.

He concluded that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully capable of defending national sovereignty and that any future aggression would be met with a “far stronger response.”
