Israel never talked me into war with Iran: Trump

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian says “Iranians do not submit to force”; Macron decries blocking Strait of Hormuz as “mistake on both sides”, urges de-escalation.

US President Donald Trump has said in a phone interview with Bloomberg that it is “highly unlikely” he will extend the two-week ceasefire with Iran if a deal is not reached before it is scheduled to end on April 22.

US President Donald Trump says Israel did not persuade him to attack Iran, after news reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu influenced the US president’s decision and criticism from right-wing commentators, Reuters reports.

“Israel never talked me into the war with Iran, the results of Oct 7th, added to my lifelong opinion that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon, did,” Trump has said in a post on Truth Social.

Trump adds, “The results in Iran will be amazing” in the post. “And if Iran’s new leaders (regime change!) are smart, Iran can have a great and prosperous future!”
