Karachi: The Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi held a condolence reference in memory of Iranian high-ranking military commanders and nuclear scientists who were martyred in a recent Israeli attack on Iran.

The solemn gathering drew participation from prominent Shia and Sunni scholars, university faculty, researchers, and political and social leaders from across the city. Distinguished guests included Advisor to the Governor of Sindh Mr. Mustafa, Sindh Government Spokesperson Syeda Tahseen Abidi, and Ms. Sadia Gohar from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Diplomats from Iraq, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Turkey, and other countries were also in attendance.

Iran’s Acting Consul General in Karachi, Wahid Asghari, welcomed attendees and expressed deep gratitude to the people of Pakistan, the government, and the Parliament—especially the Sindh Government and the people of Sindh—for their continued support and solidarity with Iran amid the Iran-Israel conflict.

He emphasized the longstanding historical, cultural, political, and religious ties between Iran and Pakistan, highlighting how both nations have consistently backed each other’s positions on international platforms.

Guests also shared their condolences and heartfelt messages in the condolence book placed at the event.
