inDrive Reinforces Safety Standards for Rides and Deliveries Across Pakistan

Karachi: inDrive, one of Pakistan’s leading ride-hailing and delivery platforms, has reaffirmed its commitment to passenger and driver safety, highlighting a comprehensive framework of security features and verification measures that make every trip and delivery more secure.
Placing safety at the heart of its operations, inDrive said the platform gives both riders and drivers full control through mutual selection — passengers choose drivers based on verified profiles, ratings, and trip history, while drivers can accept rides that suit them.
Before joining the platform, all drivers undergo strict document, identity, and driving credential checks, supported by facial recognition technology to ensure authenticity.
The inDrive app incorporates several features designed to keep users safe and in control. These include anonymized calling, in-app chat, real-time trip sharing with trusted contacts, and a dedicated SOS button for emergencies. A 24/7 support line is also available for assistance during late-night or unexpected incidents.
Machine learning systems further monitor for any suspicious or inappropriate activity, automatically flagging potential risks for review.
If a safety issue arises, inDrive follows a clear response process: immediate account suspension of involved parties, detailed information gathering, and full investigation using chat logs, trip routes, and timestamps. Users found in serious violation of safety rules face permanent bans.
The company also collaborates with law enforcement where necessary, sharing data securely and lawfully.
Passengers are encouraged to double-check the driver’s photo, car model, and license plate before starting a trip. inDrive also advises users to communicate only via in-app chat for privacy protection.
Every inDrive ride is insured, covering accidental death, permanent disability, medical expenses, and emergency costs such as ambulance or funeral services — offering peace of mind from pickup to drop-off.
For package deliveries, users are urged to confirm driver details, avoid off-app payments, and promptly report any suspicious activity. Ratings and feedback remain a crucial part of maintaining trust and transparency on the platform.
“Safety isn’t just a setting — it’s a shared responsibility,” the company emphasized, adding that with the right tools and user awareness, every ride or delivery can be safe, simple, and stress-free.
