Captain Sarwar Shaheed President, PM pay tribute on Pakistan’s first Nishan-e-Haider recipient’s 78th martyrdom anniversary

Captain Sarwar Shaheed was honoured by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday as Pakistan marked the 78th martyrdom anniversary of the country’s first Nishan-e-Haider recipient.

In separate statements, both leaders paid tribute to Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed for his courage and sacrifice during the First Kashmir War on July 27, 1948. They said his devotion to duty and patriotism continue to inspire generations of Pakistanis.

President Zardari described Captain Sarwar Shaheed’s sacrifice for the liberation of Kashmir as a timeless example of bravery, loyalty and national service.

He said the martyr created a legacy that future generations would remember with pride and respect. He also called Pakistan’s martyrs a priceless national asset and praised Captain Sarwar Shaheed for his exceptional courage, professionalism and leadership.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Captain Sarwar Shaheed proved through his courage that the nation stands united in defending the country.

He added that the martyr’s patriotism, unwavering commitment and sacrifice would continue to guide future generations. The prime minister also reaffirmed that the nation remains proud of Captain Sarwar Shaheed and every soldier who sacrificed his life for Pakistan.
