The accident occurred around 3:30am near the Olympia Tech Park signal in Guindy. Ameen was travelling towards Guindy with a friend when his car collided with a cab.

According to police, the cab, reportedly a Wagon-R, entered the main road from a side road before the crash. The collision left Ameen and his friend with minor injuries.

Both men received medical treatment at Kauvery Hospital. Doctors later discharged them after assessing their condition.

Meanwhile, Chennai traffic police have opened an investigation into the crash. Officers are examining how the collision occurred and the movements of both vehicles before the impact.

The incident quickly drew attention from Ameen’s fans. However, news that he suffered only minor injuries brought relief to his family and well-wishers.

At 23, Ameen has already begun building his own career in the Indian music industry. He has worked as a playback singer and performed songs for several Indian films.

Despite carrying the legacy of his father, A.R. Rahman, Ameen continues to develop his own identity as a singer. He is now recovering at home and is expected to return to his musical work after his recovery.
