Karachi: The Almarah Foundation hosted a charity dinner and musical night at the Marina Club, Karachi, bringing together prominent business leaders, artists and community figures to raise funds for orphaned and underprivileged children.

The event aimed to generate financial support for the foundation’s nationwide welfare programmes, including “Feed the Hungry” and “Parent an Orphan,” which focus on food security, shelter and long-term care for vulnerable children.

Prominent Guests in Attendance

The evening was hosted by Dr Danish Aman, who underscored the importance of collective responsibility in addressing social challenges.

Among the notable attendees were Humayun Saeed, who serves as the foundation’s goodwill ambassador; Hamza Ali Abbasi, brand ambassador; and veteran actress Bushra Ansari. Television actor Muneeb Butt and Sophiya Warraich, chairperson of the Almarah Foundation, were also present.

Senior government, police and army officials, along with members of Karachi’s business community, attended the fundraiser.

Charity Auction Draws Strong Response

A key highlight of the evening was a live charity auction featuring cricket bats signed by the Pakistan national cricket team. Organisers said the spirited bidding reflected strong support from attendees, with proceeds allocated toward constructing new shelter homes and funding daily meal programmes.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Danish Aman described the response as a reflection of compassion and unity. He said contributions from the event would help expand the foundation’s outreach to children in need.

Supporting Vulnerable Children

According to organisers, the Almarah Foundation currently supports more than 275 orphaned children and provides daily meals to over 1,000 individuals. Through its “Apna Ghar” shelter homes and integrated health and education initiatives, the organisation aims to nurture and empower children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The charity dinner marked another milestone in the foundation’s efforts to mobilise private-sector and community support for sustainable child welfare programmes across Pakistan.
