AIT Students Win Top Honors at Lightweight Frisbee Competition

Competing against 13 teams, AIT students

Karachi: Students from the Civil Technology department of Aligarh Institute of Technology (AIT) secured the first position in the prestigious Lightweight Frisbee Competition organized by the American Concrete Institute (ACI) at Sir Syed University. Competing against 13 teams, including those from Sir Syed University and Ziauddin University, AIT students demonstrated exceptional skill and creativity to emerge as champions.

A Showcase of Talent and Expertise

The two-day event featured enthusiastic participation from various universities, with AIT students outperforming their peers through innovative approaches. The competition gained prominence with the presence of notable guests, including Mir Shabbar Ali, Head of the Work and Employment Department (NED), the Dean of Sciences at Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET), and leading civil engineering professionals.

Recognition of Excellence

Dr. Munawar Hussain, Vice-Chancellor of Sir Syed University, celebrated the achievement by awarding shields, certificates, and cash prizes to the winning team. The students credited their success to AIT’s supportive academic environment and the dedicated mentorship of their faculty.

Shahid Jameel, Principal of AIT, extended his congratulations to Engineer Madiha Younus, Head of Civil Technology, the faculty, and the students.
