Karachi: Pakistan is making history with its largest-ever participation at Heimtextil 2025, the premier global trade fair for interior textiles and design. Scheduled from January 14 to 17 in Frankfurt, the event will feature over 270 Pakistani exhibitors, solidifying Pakistan’s growing influence in the global textile industry.
With a 10% surge in new exhibitors, Pakistan now ranks 4th among the top participating countries, following China, India, and Turkey. The move to new hall locations—8 and 9—has provided expanded opportunities for Pakistani exhibitors to showcase their craftsmanship and innovative designs.
Boosting Textile and Carpet Opportunities
The addition of a new carpet hall, featuring exhibitors from Belgium, Turkey, and India, presents further opportunities for Pakistan to highlight its unique carpet designs. This development strengthens Pakistan’s reputation as a global leader in textile and carpet production.
Streamlined Logistics for Pakistani Delegation
To facilitate seamless participation, Messe Frankfurt’s Pakistan sales partner collaborated with the German Embassy in Islamabad and the German Consulate in Karachi to secure exclusive visa appointments for 400 participants. This initiative underscores the strong trade partnership between Pakistan and Germany, ensuring exhibitors can focus on maximizing their impact at the event.
Kaleem Baig, General Manager, and Sumaira Liaquat, Business Development Manager at Messe Frankfurt Pakistan, expressed optimism about the new arrangements:
“Relocating to halls 8 and 9 has allowed us to accommodate exhibitors on the waitlist. With the larger spaces, many exhibitors have increased booth sizes, enabling more open and inviting displays.”
Over 2,200 Pakistani Professionals to Attend
The event will host over 1,000 Pakistani visitors and 270 exhibitors supported by 1,200 staff members, totaling more than 2,200 Pakistani professionals. Pakistan’s strong demand for textile products continues to drive its prominence in the global market.
Adding to the excitement, Ms. Margit Herberth, Director of Heimtextil, will lead special tours of halls 8 and 9 to welcome and facilitate the Pakistani delegation, further emphasizing their significant role in this year’s event.
