Islamabad: The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) marked its 41st anniversary of independence with a grand reception hosted by TRNC Representative Ms. Dilsad Senol and Mr. Akin Can Senol. The event highlighted the TRNC’s journey towards freedom, sovereignty, and resilience against aggression, paying tribute to the leaders, citizens, and soldiers who safeguarded their independence with support from Türkiye.
High-Profile Attendance
The reception, held in Islamabad, was graced by notable dignitaries from Pakistan and the international community. Mohammad Aamir Khan, Director General of Afghanistan, Iran, and Türkiye Division at Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended as the chief guest. Other key attendees included:
- Barrister Aqeel Malik, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Law
- Mushahid Hussain Syed, former Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Defense
- Ms. Raheela Durrani, Education Minister of Balochistan
