Islamabad: A delegation of Dawoodi Bohra community meets President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Friday. During the meeting, President Zardari extended a warm invitation to His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin to visit Pakistan, highlighting the strong bond between the community and the nation.
President acknowledged the contributions made by the Dawoodi Bohra community
towards the social and economic development of Karachi and Pakistan as a whole, he also commended the community’s relentless efforts and their role in the economic revival of the country.
Expressing his appreciation, President Zardari encouraged the Dawoodi Bohra community to further intensify their efforts, assuring them of the full support of the Government of Pakistan. He lauded the community for its commitment to the nation, echoing the counsel of His Holiness to the community members to remain steadfast in their patriotism by remaining rooted in Pakistan, engaging in business ventures within the nation moving towards industrialization and actively contributing to Pakistan’s socio-economic advancement.
Furthermore, Zardari lauded the community’s endeavours in education, exemplified by the
Saifee Burhani University, and healthcare, including the ground-breaking cardiac wing currently
underway at the community’s Saifee Hospital in Karachi.
The President also stated that he is a strong advocate of promoting unity among Muslims and the
Muslim ummah, mirroring the sentiment shared by the Dawoodi Bohra community. In response, the
delegation expressed their heartfelt gratitude to President on behalf of the entire Dawoodi Bohra
community for his words of respect and encouragement.
